Moutique has been working with The Album Leaf since 2004, about a year after Jimmy LaValle decided to focus on this project full-time, leaving behind his band Tristeza. Like Tristeza, The Album Leaf is classified as post-rock but has much more of a polished sonic clarity than any of their peers. Their lush, heart-wrenching melodies and textural percussion makes The Album Leaf fit right in Moutique’s roster, alongside DCfC and Do Make Say Think. Their songs sprawl and move like a breeze, all around and straight through you.
